Terms and Conditions
Hire of Equipment between The Event Girl, hereafter known as the owner, and the hirer is as follows:
Hire period: The hire period is from the time the equipment leaves the owners possession. No allowance can be made from time when the equipment is not is use. The standard hire period is 3 days unless agreed otherwise.
Hire charge and payment terms: Upon Confirmation of your booking, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required. Payment terms are due 3o days prior to equipment leaving the owners possession, unless otherwise arranged. Once deposit is received, your booking is considered finalized. We allow a maximum of 20% reduction in total guest numbers and total event spend, based on the original event quote/pricing. Any cancellations less than 30 days prior to Event will incur If the entire order is cancelled less than 30 days before the event for any reason 100% of the total quoted amount will be required for payment. If your event is wedding or event is cancelled for any reason and your invoice has been paid in full, it is final and non refundable.
Cleaning and Packaging: All equipment must be returned cleaned and in the condition they were hired in. An additional cleaning fee will apply for items which are not returned clean. Items must be returned in the packaging they were supplied in with the exception of linen which does not need to be returned clean. Please do not use Cello tape on the equipment
Cancellation: Cancellation by Client: within 30 days, the owner may retain the full deposit in order to cover the event fees already spent and time incurred. Cancellation due to bad weather: Cancellation fees apply in the event of cancellation due to bad weather
Bond: A Bond is charged which varies depending on goods hired, the bond is returned in full on the completion of the hire period and the return of all goods undamaged. Should the goods be damaged then a portion of the bond may be kept by The Event Girl to cover the costs incurred
Equipment: The hirer shall maintain the equipment in good working order during the period of hire and shall return the equipment including manuals and accessories (if applicable) after use.
The owner does not represent or warrant the equipment supplied or its capacity or performance is fit for purpose for which the hirer requires it. While every endeavour is made to supply equipment as ordered, the owner reserves the right to substitute it where necessary
Where required the hirer will be instructed in the correct use of the equipment. However the hirer assumes responsibility for the correct use of equipment whether instructed or not.
The owner will not be responsible for any delays, accidents or lose or damage of any kind either directly, indirectly or consequently which may arise through defects or breakdowns of the equipment hired
Non Supply: The Event Girl will endeavour to supply equipment ordered but will not accept responsibility for non-delivery, delay in delivery or inability to supply equipment when required.
Damaged or Faulty Equipment: If the hirer considers any equipment to be damaged or faulty when supplied they must notify the Owner immediately and the hire will cease from the time the notification is received and the equipment is found to be damaged or faulty by the owner
Property Rights: All equipment remains the property of The Event Girl. The Hirer is responsible to keep the equipment in his own possession and control.
Sub Hire of Equipment: Equipment must not be re-hired or loaned by the hirer to a third party without the owner’s consent
Extension: If the hirer wishes to extend the period of hire, the hirer shall request an extension of the hire period from the owner at least one day before the hire period expires. The owner cannot guarantee an extension of the hire period although every effort will be made to accommodate the hirer’s requirements.
Return of Equipment: Any equipment not returned by the “return date” will be charged to the hirer’s credit card at full rates. Items not returned with the 72 hour hire period may also include additional hire charges, unless prior arrangement has been made
Hire Liability: The hirer shall be liable to the owner for any damage caused to items, as a result of the breech of, or non-compliance to, any of the terms and conditions of this agreement. The hirer is responsible for all hire items for the duration of the hire period. Damage includes but is not limited to wax residue, cigarette burns, non-removable stains, and irreparable damages. Damage or loss of any hire items will be charged at full replacement cost to the supplied credit card or the agree Bond will be forfeited. Bond charges vary dependent on Goods hired. Details will be contained within quote/Invoice.
Owner Liability: The Event Girl accepts no liability whatsoever in respect to third party and similar risks or for personal injury or for consequential damage or loss
Acknowledgement: The hirer and any representative of the hirer who have taken possession of hire equipment are deemed to have read and understood the terms and conditions in the agreement
Force majeure/Covid: In the event that The Event Girl is unable to perform its obligations due to events of force majeure or COVID-19, including but not limited to destruction, acts of God, governmental action, fires, floods, explosions, strikes,Covid-19, slowdowns or other concerted acts of workers, war or hostilities, insurrections, rebellions, riots or any other civil disorder, criminal conduct of third parties, or any failure of the other party to act. Then in that event the Event Girl unable to perform shall, be relieved of its obligations, but only to the extent of the effects of force majeure and only for so long as the event of force majeure continues. Store Credits will be provided for any monies paid by the client.
Photography: The Event Girl reserve the right to take images of your Event setup and to source images that contain our work from other Vendors, which are to be used for promotional and marketing purposes. Please advise The Event Girl in advance if you do not wish for photos to be used publicly.
